CLAIMS/Manager

AdjustmentHub is a comprehensive family of workflow-based case management tools integrated with a complete imaging system for forms and claims documentation.

 adh4_2.JPG

CLAIMS/Manager,  AdjustmentHub's workflow processing engine, can handle any payment type such as Credit, Signature Debit, Pin Debit, ACH, ATM, Electronic BillPay and other RegE and RegZ products. It automatically configures itself for any claim type to process the claim through pre-defined workflows incorporating business logic and dispute staff in well-defined process sequences.

CLAIMS/Manager can act in any role of a transaction - the Issuing financial institution, a third-party processor organization, or an Acquiring Merchant.

It contains facilities to:

  • Open new cases and queue to various analysts for processing
  • Accessing external data warehouses to locate relevant transactions and pre-fill required fields in the case (auto-research)
  • Add and manipulate images and forms for cardholder, merchant and network documentation purposes
  • Assign cases to various queues depending on case variables and transaction contents
  • Sequence cases through a set of pre-defined workflow steps
  • Define and present contextual questionnaires tailored for varied audiences including cardholders, merchants, and dispute staff
  • Generate financial debit and credit records for cardholders and customers, as well as external network chargebacks and representments
  • Where such facilities are available, CLAIMS/Manager interfaces with network switching software such as S1 Postilion/Office and ACI Base24 to receive network financial chargebacks and adjustments and to generate new ones back to the networks, in any required formats
  • Define analysts and managers and giving them roles and responsibilities
  • Define workflows and resources to implement rules and regulations for financial institutions, processors, governmental agencies and acquirers
  • Generate and run reports for pre-defined and ad-hoc requirements

These facilities are further expanded upon in various Lean documents.

AdjustmentHub CLAIMS/Manager requires one of two possible environments - Microsoft Windows Server with Tomcat; or Linux/Unix Server with WebSphere. SQL Server 2003 or later is required for AdjustmentHub's case database.

Image Manager

 AdjustmentHub™ - IMAGE/Manager

The IMAGE/Manager document handling system eliminates the paper chase generated by the massive flow of incoming and outgoing documentation from customers and networks, especially in Signature and CNP (card not present) phone and Internet transactions.

IMAGE/Manager interfaces directly with MasterCard's MCOM and Visa's VRO Bulk imaging systems and communicates with scanners, fax servers and email servers to implement a low-cost digital image environment, supporting all user and network documentation needs, including letters, affidavits and forms. Barcoded forms eliminate the need to manually attach documents to cases through automatic case number recognition and image handling. Images can be stored  on local disks or sent to enterprise imaging systems such as FileNet

IMAGE/Manager provides the following facilities for a claim department's imaging needs:

  • The creation of image collections through various input mechanisms such as scanners, digital fax servers and various networks' imaging systems such as Mastercard's MCOM and Visa's VRO Bulk systems. These image collections can represent cardholder dispute letters, chargeback documentation, representment documentation, fraud packages and affidavits
  • The viewing, manipulation and cataloging of image collections using image viewing software
  • The attaching of image pages from transmissions to claims dispute cases using barcoded forms
  • The integration of forms templates, letting an analyst select a template, edit it and integrate it into image collections for later transmittal
  • The creation of image collections under claims dispute cases for transmission to various media, such as fax machines and imaging systems from various networks.
  • Interfaces to AdjustmentHub's CLAIMS/Manager component to let analysts create case items, attach images to these items and review case items and associated document images.

AdjustmentHub IMAGE/Manager requires one of two possible environments - Microsoft Windows Server with Tomcat; or Linux/Unix Server with WebSphere. SQL Server 2003 or later is required for AdjustmentHub's case database.

xPORTAL/Manager

xPORTAL/Manager provides Internet-based user portal functionality to AdjustmentHub installations. Two versions exist: iPORTAL for issuers and aPORTAL for acquirers.

xPORTAL/Manager provides the following facilities:

  • User authentication, to provide Issuer, Acquirer or Both, with roles definitions, in addition to providing access criteria on the basis of BINs and Terminal Ids
  • Transaction search and display features for research purposes. The transaction search occurs via AdjustmentHub's web services SOAP interface and provides grid list displays and detailed displays
  • Creation of parent/child cases from one or more selected transactions. The xPORTAL product will query the user for required case data, such as case type, claim amount, reason code and comments, while guiding the user through the process using AdjustmentHub's contextual questionnaires. Both issuer and acquirer cases can be created
  • Case database search on various criteria, with grid and detailed display, including the download of case documentation in PDF format
  • Working of one or more children within a parent case, such as the processing of request-for-copy, chargebacks and representments

The xPORTAL/Manager software runs on a web server computer and user analysts are connected to the system using standard Windows Internet Explorer workstations. It requires a Tomcat/Java environment and a web services connection to an AdjustmentHub system.
